Yes we can! And, furthermore, YES, WE DID!
Cheers and Peace!

I'm relieved that we will have some very smart people in charge.

YES, WE DID! I cried like a baby, but they were tears of true joy.

I have to admit, I got teary last night during the Big O's speech. I spent a lot of my life in DC, being around government workers and watching how our government works. I have never felt hope like this before.

Oh, I showed "Philly" your site today and she loves your kitty. She said to pass on that she has only heard of one of these operations but it was sucessful.

YAHOO!!!!!!! It was such a special moment. I too got choked up. I was hugging and high-fiving total strangers in the bar. And it was cool that I was with a friend who's not an American citizen, and he was able to see this country at its best. Yessir, I was proud to be an American last night.

I stayed up way too late watching the coverage and the speeches, but I wanted to experience it all live. I'm paying for it today, but it was worth it. Thanks for sharing your experiences here and on your own blogs. It has been fun.

We stayed up late too and were drinking champagne. I paid for it the whole next day. It sounds silly, but I'm still welling up several times a day over it all. Hope won over fear. And that is resonating around the world.

magnetbabe - it is an exciting time. I am not sorry I stayed up to watch it. I took it easy on the scotch and managed to avoid even a hint of a hangover.
