The spice must flow.
That's a really cute pic -now what in the heck was the cat eating anyway? Looks like cantalope.
My dog likes fruit and some veggies.
jeni - yup, she's licking the cantelope I put out for the butterflies and other critters.jim - my old dog would eat anything you fed him! I had a cat (Dixie) who liked cantelope rinds and corncobs (even without any butter on them). She's stand over them and growl to keep the other pets at bay.
Have her kidneys checked. Emerson started to crave that melon when he was 12 and it turned out it has something in it that we and animals need for our kidneys. Anyway a few months after we realized he loved cantalope and were buying it for him on a regular basis, his kidneys failed. just cover your bases!
If she doesn't know any better... why should I spoil her fun?
Dear Moxy,You're a carnivore!! Sincerely, Wa11z
Meloncat! And why not? My old cat Soybean used to like to lick fruit too. Mostly apples, but he tried a few different things.
jenny - I get her bloodwork done regularly, since she is an old lady. I suspect she was just thirsty.ll - consider her fun unspoiled.wa11z - this is Zima. Moxy hates people food and is only interested in dry cat food.twg - apples? That is unusual.
One of my cats always wanted pasta - especially lo mein noodles. another would howl - she wanted potpourri!so fruit is pretty good :)I imagine the birds sitting up in the tree, impatiently waiting for her to leave.
Crap, I knew that. But for some reason I typed Moxy anyway. Oh well, must be all the booze...
dianne - Zima has a history of interfering with bird feeding. I used to have a platform feeder in Massachusetts and she would curl up in it and sleep on top of the bird seed.wa11z - I'm glad somebody is having fun with alcohol. Drink one or two for me!Two more weeks. I have to keep telling myself that in order to keep what little sanity I have left.
Canteloupe, now that's a new one.Tara wants to know what the hell is wrong with Moxy - after all, she attributes her long life to people food. Tara also says she'd appreciate it if someone would buy her a bucket of KFC.
dr s - I don't know what Moxy's deal is with the reverse finickiness. But it does make it very simple to feed her, and she doesn't try to get into the food when we are cooking like the other two.
Hilarious! My first cat Zapata loved asparagus. Current cat Boris has shown extreme appreciation for brussel sprouts now and then.
Igor's like Moxy - won't have anything to do with anything that's not dry cat food. I'm sure he thinks I'm poisoning him when I try to give him a treat.
That is such a cute picture!!!
