Don't forget there is a total lunar eclipse this evening. The moon will spend 74 minutes completely within the earth's shadow, and will appear reddish. It should be a great show. You don't even have to stay up late.
Here in Atlanta the moon will rise at 18:32 EST, just after mid-totality. The moon remains in totality until 18:58 EST. The eclipse ends at 21:25 EST. To find out when events will occur in your local timezone, click on this handy link.

I hope I can keep myself up that long. Also, the sky's pretty overcast up here. I hope it will be visible.
Yup... too cloudy here. I'd tell you to take pictures but you had to go and break your camera...
I have a feeling that any pictures I did take would have been awful. But I would have tried it anyway!
I didn't get to see it during totality. The combination of slight haze, twilight skies, and our house being in a low spot surrounded by trees conspired against me. I first saw it just after the moon started to emerge from shadow, when the sky was nearly dark. I could still see the reddish tinge on the dark parts of the moon. Pretty cool!

It was really cool here for a while and then it got cloudy. A friend of mine was able to get a couple of pictures.

I was even outside a bit before 9:20 p.m. but I was too intent in getting out of the cold and into the bar to dance, so I missed it.
