Guard Cat

Silvio guards the door.

I stayed home sick today. Silvio is guarding the door.

Silvio is maturing quite nicely. He looks like the master of his domain.

LL - I logged into the work computer and did a little bit o' stuff today, so I figured I could post the cat photo without a guilty conscience.

Dr S - I could make a joke here, but I won't.

My cat guards the bathroom door like its an escape route to me.

Isn't it a great feeling knowing you have such protection at hand though?

Wish I could get a video of Nina -the mama cat -on guard against Sammy, the new mutt member of the family. Too funny. He wants desperately to be friends with her, with Chino (the other big cat) as well as with Nina's four kittens but doesn't quite know how to win the felines over -although he is doing okay now with the kittens. But Nina -she sees him moving anywhere that she thinks is remotely close to her and immediately, the hackles go up. When he gets to a certain range, all she has to do is hiss at him and he runs off, yelping, barking, crying -so loud too -you'd swear she must have taken a pound of flesh from him and she's never even swung a paw in his direction!

Now get well soon, please.

BC - mine like to hang out in the bathroom with me, but they don't guard that door.

Jeni - she's being a good cat mama!

What do you feed them to make their coats so shinny? He is so handsome. I posted a cat blog too. Hope it gives you a smile.

Dr Jenn - I have to feed him Prescription Diet - KD because of his bladder stones. Any good quality cat food will make their coats shiny.

Guarding the door so no one will get in, or so you can't get out? ;)

Judging from that smug look on his face, I'd say both!

Never too sick to catblog.

Dang woman are you not feeling any better yet? Or is Silvio guarding the computer too? LOL. Hope all is well.

Yay! Catblogging on my first day back in the blogging world.

Silvio wants to make sure you stay home.

When I first got Boris (very short hair), his fur/hair was not soft at all, but once he got a hold of some good food, it's gotten quite soft (considering how short it is).

Mine like the bathroom door open. If I close it (regardless if they're in or out), they want to be on the other side of the door - and it's never actually completely closed.

tiff - it got worse before it got better.

Dr Jenn - week from hell. You have no idea. I got a migraine on Saturday and it didn't go away until this evening. Misery.

Kat - welcome back to the blogosphere. Silvio says hello.

I hope you're feeling better by now

knowing cats as I do there's a good chance Silvio is still at the door

Maybe he's just staying that far away to keep from being infected.

I wish my cat would lay by the door. Instead, he smashes down the couch cushions with his heft until they look like lumpy mashed potatoes.

Dianne - I finally feel normal today. Silvio spent his day outside being a cat.

trinamick - he does his share of couch sitting, but likes to make the rounds elsewhere.
