Moxy In The Sun

Moxy loves the half-built porch
Moxy loves her a sunny spot.

The photo is ten days old, and a lot of work has been done on the porch since then. Paint, eaves, gutters, electrical work - four outlets plus flood lights and a light/ceiling fan. They worked on the floor this week - installed the cement backer board and sealed it against moisture in preparation for the tile floor that is going in tomorrow. It should all be finished next week!

Work is still kicking my ass. If you don't see me around your blogs much, that is why. I come home exhausted and the last thing I want to do is spend more hours in front of a computer. There is something else that is going to demand a lot of my spare time from now until August. I'll leave that as a post for another day.

Happy Friday, everyone.

Loved that picture, Fermi! By the way, would you like another cat later this summer? Apparently our new cat, Jorge (the female incorrectly labeled as male by the 16-year-old) is in the family way and we'd be more than pleased to offer kittens to anyone and everyone who would like one and would give them good homes, ya know.

A tiny ledge in the sun. What more could a kitty ask for?! Love the picture, great kitty shot as always.

Sometimes I wish I could figure out how they sleep like that, especially when I work nights and screw up my internal clock.

More cats? You know they steal your breath when you sleep, don't you... ;)

diane - now that the porch has been painted, Zima is the cat who matches.

minnesotablue - she is a master of contentment.

magnetbabe - I just hope they don't ruin the screen when they lay there after it is finished. Maybe I should have gotten them to do a wider rail.

dr s - I'm afraid you would need some feline DNA to be able to sleep anywhere, any time.

ll - I ain't dead yet, so they must leave you a little to spare.

Yeah, but that's why you're always tired! :ewink:

Porch is looking good! I'm enjoying it vicariously. I used to love the deck on my house. I practically lived out there in the warm weather, except when the big oak tree started dropping its acorns. Then it was like tiny bombs falling! I'm looking forward to more pix when you get around to it. And I totally know what you mean about feeling wrung out at the end of the day. I had to work today (Saturday) for a special event. It involved being on my feet for about six hours and supervising a group of volunteers. I got home, flopped into my comfy chair and couldn't move.

That's a fabulous picture. Cats are so relaxed when they're in the sun. I'm sure one of mine would roll off that narrow ledge, though. They're goofballs.
