Romeo left a dead chipmunk (in pieces) on our doorstep. The "gift" makes it official. He's our cat.
Zima's out there right now helping him dispose of the legs. I could actually hear her crunching the little bones with gusto. There's also a head, an unidentifiable organ (stomach? liver?), and some entrails left over. Hope that stuff's not still there in the morning.

What??? You run a medical imager and you can't even identify one little internal organ?
Well... there goes your certifications... ;P
It was too dark to get a good look last night, and by morning it was gone (even the head). Romeo doesn't waste food, apparently. And chipmunk anatomy wasn't covered in any of my classes!
Oh heck, if it was there last night but gone by morning, they probably invited half -if not all -the rest of their carnivorous woodland friends to come and party-hearty with them -raccoons, skunks, owls, buzzards -who knows what else!
That's a good point. We definitely have raccoons and possums. I've seen their tracks down by the creek.
glad u didnt have a camera handy for that
