Freezing Fog?

It's in the forecast. Can't wait. This has been a really weird week so far.

Out in these parts, they call that pogonip. No idea where that came from, but alas... that's never much fun.

Funny name for it. This really has been a weird week. Usually when it snows here, it is gone in a day or two. This stuff isn't going anywhere because we are in a deep freeze. The slush has a hard, icy, slick crust. Unfortunately, I've been told we have to go to work tomorrow (I've been working from home M-T). Not sure how that is going to happen with my 2WD sedan on untreated roadways. My county has 2000 miles of road and two snow plows. Might be interesting...

Oh, if you're front wheel drive it won't be a problem for ya. Also this isn't your first rodeo, you did live in the snow in a previous life...

My front wheel drive couldn't get any traction on the sheet of ice that is my street this morning. Once I hit the part that goes up hill, it was all over. The sun is out, but it is still in the 20s and not predicted to get above freezing until Friday. Working from home yet again.

In my previous life, they plowed and sanded my road. Just sayin'.

When I read the title, I thought of what LL said. I hope everything gets cleared soon. Seems the south is getting more snow than the north.

We're free! Took a long time to melt by Atlanta standards, and there is still ice/snow in some nooks and crannies, but things are finally back to normal around here.

The last remnant of ice just melted TODAY. That was an eternity by Atlanta standards!
