Can you believe it's already February? I'm never sorry to see January go.
This forsythia bush always jumps the gun on spring and blooms very early. It was no surprise to notice some tiny yellow flowers beaming through the cold and gloomy weather we've been having. It looks a little bit out of place, but all the same I am glad to see it. The rest of the yard will catch up.

Always nice to know that somewhere across this country, someone is getting a little bit of good or maybe just better weather. Up here -I think our high for today is supposed to be 20! And that's a corner turned from last week when most days the temps stayed down in the single digit colum with loads of lovely wind chill factors to make it seem -or feel like -it was well BELOW zero!
I always love the first blossoms of the year. Even my forsythias.
Jeni - We haven't really had great weather so far this year. When it hasn't been too cold, it has rained. And rained. And rained. Every dang weekend.
LL - a welcome sight, for sure!
ack pbbblbbth. 6 more weeks of winter.
Jenn - what does a damn rat know? :-)
lord they said on CNN that those dang groundhogs have a species that gets up to 200#. Can you imagine them chasing that thing out of a hole?
LOL.
Georgia's own groundhog, General Beauregard Lee, predicted an early spring for what it's worth.
I like this picture a lot. Im waiting patiently for Spring. Ok, so not so patiently but its nice to know Im not the only one rushing it.
I'm just waiting for winter to go away...we're supposed to get 6-10" of the white crap tomorrow into Wednesday. *sigh* It never ends.
BC - we'll get spring before you do most likely. I'll post more photos!
Kat - we have been spared the white stuff. For us, it just rains every dang Saturday. It is getting old.
