Paint it chocolate.

So, we have a holiday weekend and PDM and I finally sat down and had a parley about the wall color in the new-and-improved downstairs tiny bathroom. He wanted blue. I wanted burgundy. Combining the two into purple was a non-starter. We settled on a chocolate brown color. It really does seem like we are smearing melted chocolate on the walls. Makes me hungry, it does. And it looks pretty good. It definitely needs at least one more coat, which it will get tomorrow, even though both of us plan to go to work on a holiday. I'm coming home at noon. Assuming I get my ass out of bed at a reasonable time. The alarm is set and I have high hopes.

PDM has teachery stuff to accomplish. I am going to do my monthly testing. Normally I would just stay late and do this slightly after hours, but they are treating a patient with active TB on my machine and I really, REALLY do not want to contract TB. Therefore I will be doing my stuff on a holiday, and only after I sanitize the equipment my very self with a chemical of my choosing. Not that I don't trust the cleaning staff, but this is ACTIVE TB. Like I said... not really wanting to get it at this time, or any other. Pretty sure it would cramp my style.

Yes, I have been watching Firefly, and possibly this has affected my writing patterns. What of it?

I thought things smelled funny around here...

Now you need to watch Farscape to get that crap outta your head...

Just wondering here -what kind of materials do you have to use to clean or disinfect for something like active TB?

LL - we re-watched Farscape just this fall.

Jeni - I work in a medical clinic, so we have the good stuff available. It is some kind of hospital grade germ killer that comes in a spray can. I am sure it will be sufficient.

What does TB have to do with physics?

I helped NYPINTA and her mom paint two walls in their living room chocolate when we were teenagers. Made me hungry too BUT it also looked awsome when it was done.

LOLOLOLOLOL word veri
evresean ... have you ever seen a chocolate wall?

I love the picture below -- close encounter. Hahah!

Wow, I've never seen anyone with active TB. Scary stuff.

Are you going to take pics of the final painting? I want to totally redo the media room that was just finished. I like the color, but it looks TERRIBLE with the wood trim that was taken out of a barn. So, I'm thinking we need to change the color, but am not sure to what as it needs to be dark. Blech.

TB would definitely cramp anyone's style. Be careful.

Active TB is really touchy stuff. Please be careful.

My mom once wanted her kitchen painted chocolate and yellow. Really...it wasnt what she thought it would be. As for barn wood and a dark color, I would choose a soft hunter green or burgundy.

I like the idea of chocolate colored walls.

Jennster - TB has nothing to do with physics, other than contaminating my machine. :-(

Beth - still waiting to get that room TOTALLY done before I do the before and after set of photos. That last 5% takes half the time. We haven't been doing much to finish it lately.

Debo - that patient completed treatment, so the danger is over. They tell me it is transmitted through the air and I waited days, so hopefully there was nothing to catch.

BC - hunter and burgundy sound nice. I wanted burgundy with white trim, but it got vetoed.

Kat - I like it more than PDM does. It is a nice, warm color and we needed some contrast in that tiny room. Now we just need to finish it.
