One Down... More To Go

Hmmm. It seems that picking out a Top 100 music list involves more work than I thought. It will take another day or two for me to come up with one. In the meantime, I am happy to report that I have purchased various and sundry vegetables with the intent of cooking up some of your recommendations. I decided to go roughly in order. So tonight I sauteed some baby spinach with garlic, salt and pepper (thanks, thewritegirl!). Even though PDM does not normally like cooked greens, he said he liked it, and I did too. I think next time I will use less oil and salt, and maybe a tad less garlic. But this one's a keeper! Next up: LL's fried zucchini. I also bought some asparagus (y'all had several ideas for this veggie) and a few sweet potatoes that I intend to roast.

Great. Now I'm hungry.

Me too, left over spaghetti sauce. If the Top 100 work factor is outweighing the enjoyment of putting your list together, stop and post, otherwise, enjoy the process, and now I'm really looking forward to what you have to say.

Off topic, I thought of this the other day. I'm adrift in the politization of "global warming." All sides seem to just talk for and against what ever side in it they support or oppose.

You are the only scientist I know. When you are stuck for something to think and write about, what about telling us what the science says?

I don't mean to be giving out assignments; but, even if you don't want to take it, is there somewhere you've seen that has an objective take on the issue?

Finally, what's for "comment" dinner tonight?

My comments are going to bed without supper, but I went out with my sister and had a steak salad (medium rare, with balsamic vinaigrette). I brought a Moe's burrito home for PDM, who had to work late and missed all the fun.

Glad you both liked the spinach. Bon appetit!

I have never met a spinach I liked. It makes my insides all squirmy.

I baked a yam the other night. It must be all the rage.

And I rarely eat spinach. Don't know why, just never have.

Spinach is good if it isn't overcooked.

Tonight I made roasted spicy sweet potatoes and some asparagus. I tried the seal-in-foil-and-bake method, since I already had the oven on for the 'taters. The asparagus tasted good, but was overcooked. The sweet potatoes with salt, pepper, and cayenne were awesome. Definitely a keeper!

Still have zucchini in the fridge for frying - I am planning on following LL's instructions for that. :-)
