We're a two cat family here again. Nina, the orange cat we had for almost a year but gave her to my son a year ago in February when the son-in-law brought Jorge home, has returned to live with us, at least for a while. She's very pregnant and due most any time and we figured it might be better for her and her kittens to be here, rather than all alone while my son is on the road all week long. Chino, our cat, who is now 10 months old and also preggers -due probably a month after Nina is (yes, lovely situation, I know!) and Nina haven't yet exactly formed a truce. Chino tries to entice Nina into games at times but Nina just can't be bothered by this youngster getting in her face, in her way, etc. They don't fight though, so that's a bonus -Nina just tries to steer clear as much as possible of Chino. She's become pretty adept at hiding from Kurtis too, although in his defense, I have to say he's actually been very kind and gentle when he sees her and tries to pet her. Chino, he tends to ignore most of the time. Funny how that goes, isn't it though? Maybe one of these days soon, I can post a picture of Nina and Chino dining together too! If not them, then probably their kittens, huh?
Jeni - y'all need to find one of those low-cost spay/neuter clinics!
Red - Zima has grown more white over the years. She used to have a gray splotch on the top of her head, but it gradually changed to all white and now she just has a couple of dirty looking places near her ears where there is a bit of gray fur.
Dianne - yes! And Moxy, who does not care for wet food (or people food) will sometimes use the group feeding opportunity for some unfettered butt sniffing. They're too busy gobbling the food to swat at her.
My cats have a water bowl with a painting of a whole cat. Makes it obvious that it's their bowl. (Although I don't think I'd want to eat out of a bowl with a person's face painted on the bottom... hmm.
Oh, too cute!!! That won't work with my cats...Igor doesn't give two shakes of a lamb's tail about wet food. He's crazy. And Boris doesn't argue since that means he gets all of it to himself.

see how a good meal brings people/family/cats together!
love the photos
You have a bowl with little cat pawprints on it? *sigh* I guess I'll just have to abandon all hope for you...

LL - Ain't it cute?
Today, the cats. Tomorrow, world peace.
at least the cat's bowl don't have people footprints on it, that would just be warped!

BTW, those are some very cute cats, fermi. :D
dr s - apparently the secret is wet food. So simple.
red - heh.
nypinta - the cats would eat out of a bowl that had a picture of a dead rat on it. Actually, they'd probably like that better!
