May Showers

Day 151 - Droplet

We're having a lot of them lately. Typical weather for this time of year in the deep south. The rain didn't stop us from hosting our PDMPMDP* yesterday. It was a lot of fun. You don't have to take my word for it - just ask Dave.

I also had a birthday during the day-before-the-party cooking and cleaning blitz. We took time out to have mimosas in the afternoon, and PDM took me out for a very nice dinner late that evening. He also gave me a new toy for the DSLR. It is lens extension tube that allows you to take macro (close-up) photos using your standard lenses. Pretty cool (the photo above was shot with it). The cats gave me a "I aim to misbehave" t-shirt. They're big fans of Captain Malcolm Reynolds.

Okay -I'm late, but better late than never to say "Happy Birthday!" Right?
Love this flower photo -amazing!
And about the hair thing of my last post, normally I tend to keep my hair short and usually permed too so I don't have to work with it. I don't know why I been letting it grow and this is the longest it's been in many, many years as well as the longest I've gone without even a trim too! (Probably shouldn't admit that, huh?) I like the fact I can pull it back and up and clip it there and then, if I want and if it's not really windy outside, I can also let it down. (Wind-blown hair look definitely doesn't help my appearance one damned bit!) We shall see I guess now how long the long hair will last!

Your cats like old guys too? I always knew cats have no taste... this just confirms it. ;)

Jeni - no, never too late for a happy birthday.

LL - I think you are the only one who doesn't like Captain Tightpants.
