Hope your Halloween is less soggy than ours. I feel sorry for the kids slogging around in the rain tonight. The wet weather won't bother us -- we'll be inside watching football. Go Jackets!

  3. Vandy is familiar with Paul Johnson's offense, having played Navy in 2003-04. Unfortunately, they gave up 66 points in two losses. I doubt that the Vanderbilt defense will be any more successful tonight.

  4. Dianne - thanks! A spooky Halloween to you, the cats, and Hope (who looks ultra-cute in her Halloween togs).

LL - I'm following the cats' example. NomNomNom.

Dr S - I like Vandy, but I can't root for 'em today. Our Johnson was very complementary about their Johnson in his press appearances this week.

  5. Jeez, your guys really can't play defense, can they?

Few things are more exciting than football coaches talking about their Johnsons.

  7. I love the card! It's soggy here too. We didn't get a single trick-or-treater.

And yes, I'm alive. Thanks for checking up on me. ;)

  8. It's a very good thing you don't need any defense.

  9. Dr S and Dr J - for better or worse, we seem to be a 2nd half team. Maybe one day I will get used to the stomach-churning awfulness that is our typical first half. At least we pulled out the win.

Natalie - thanks. I love vintage Halloween stuff and cats, so that old postcard was a winner.

Dave - it is a very good thing that I don't need my liver, because I think I damaged it tonight. GT likes to keep things exciting, apparently. And when I am anxious, I like to drink.

  12. yea fermi - the score at half time was what you'd have expected to see at the end of the game, lol... they had yardage

  13. dr s - we seem to air it out more when playing SEC teams, for whatever reason. The last time we threw it a lot was when playing MSU.

Dr Jenn - That first half made for a very scary Halloween for us!
